President - Claude Palmer

Biography
I was born in Flackville,
New York on January 9, 1944, the son of Simeon and Sara Palmer.
I moved to Rensselaer Falls in 1946 and have resided here ever
since, along with my four brothers.
I graduated from Canton
Central School and then went to work for McAdam Cheese Plant in
Heuvelton for five years. I then spent thirty years at SUNY Canton,
retiring in 1998 as Grounds Supervisor.
In 1976 I married Janet
Golpin, of Ogdensburg, becoming the step-father to three children,
one still lives in Rensselaer Falls and two are deceased.
I have been a member
of the Rensselaer Falls Volunteer Fire Department for 45 years
and a member of the St. Lawrence 111 Masonic Lodge of Canton, New
York and a former member of Lodge Fellowship 749 when they were
in Rensselaer Falls, holding different offices.
My favorite past time
is riding my scooter (weather permitting) and going to sales with
my wife looking for older collectible items.
I am enjoying my retirement
and just looking forward to another new day.
